Just a quick update. The demonstration is well under way. Soheil has been working on a way to mount the additional FREE for turning the knob. I’m working on ways to make the demonstration more impressive/encompassing. Today I wrote an algorithm that allows the FREE module to stir in a figure-8 pattern. I believe it will work well, but the FREEs currently attached are problematic. Fortunately we should be able to manufacture new ones within the next couple days.
I have improved the smoothness of both the round and the figure-8 stirring. The additional individual FREE has been attached to the experimental setup and is operational after some struggling. Things are moving along smoothly and we should be on schedule to record the demo next week. Below is a video of the figure-8 stirring.
The cooking demo is coming along nicely and I should have a version 1.0 available to view soon. I am mostly just having issues with video editing software at this point. On another note, we have had success in setting up a 6th pressure regulator to control the pneumatic grabber that Michigan provided us. I tweeted about it a week ago. I will put a video up as soon as we get the hand attached to the arm.
